Future of work is here. Covid, technological advances and people’s changing aspirations have transformed in unprecedented ways the modern workplace. Between now and 2027, businesses predict that 44% of workers’ core skills will be disrupted, because technology is moving faster than companies can design and scale up their training programmes (World Economic Forum, May 2023).

Co-organised with Hong Kong Management Association, this hybrid Summit will look into the reskilling and upskilling imperative and how technology should become an integral part of learning and development in every organisation. Participants will learn from L&D experts, practitioners and innovators how you can integrate education technology in your staff development programmes, making them more relevant, engaging, scalable and effective.

Winners of the Edventures Global Business Acceleration Fellowship will present and demonstrate their solutions at the Summit.

Odilo (Spain) is a “Netflix” for education. The company has amassed 3.9 million items (books, podcasts, full courses and other materials) from 6,300 publishers in 43 languages in digital formats. Organisations (education institutes and companies) can create learning experiences using the ODILO library, from other providers or their own content and in all possible formats. This makes it scalable and much faster to create customized experiences without format or copyright restrictions. The ODILO system also tracks the learners with performance metrics, impact metrics, learning style insights and other data. It has so far racked up 8,500 customers in 52 countries, covering some 170 million users. Odilo is looking for potential go-to-market partners, customers, funders, and key EdTech ecosystem builders in southern China. Check out their website and product demonstration video.
ThriveDX (Israel) is a global leader in cyber security training. It partners with top-tier academic institutions and corporations worldwide to offer advanced, professional development and skills training programs. In addition to providing training and job placement to students in cybersecurity and high-tech industry, the company also operates a unique SaaS platform to offer comprehensive end-to-end solutions to enterprises, as well as cyber and digital transformation consulting and custom programmes to businesses and government bodies. Workera (US) accelerates enterprise transformation by assessing your team’s skills, rapidly upskilling them, and measuring their progress with cutting-edge technologies like Generative AI. Using deep learning and language models, Workera’s technology makes getting accurate and granular data on people’s skills an efficient process and provide deep skills intelligence that leads to actionable insights for both individuals and organizations.
